Design Team Presentations to Jury Highlight Framing a Modern Masterpiece Competition Calendar

The Framing a Modern Masterpiece competition is set to re-invision the Arch grounds and its connections to the surrounding city. A winning design team will be announced September 24. It's been a quiet process so far, at least publicly. The five finalists made short introductory presentations in April. Since then, there's been little news. That is, of course, unless you count City to River and the growing call for the removal of I-70.

Today, the competition released a calendar detailing upcoming events. Of note: design submissions from the five finalists will be available for public viewing beginning at 8:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 17th. There will also be a travelling exhibit which can be viewed at the Missouri Botanical Garden, UMSL, Washington University and elsewhere. The most interesting event for me will be the team presentations to the competition jury spanning an entire day and open to the public. Read on for the complete calendar.
