Farmer’s Market Comes to BJC-WUSM Campus Thursday’s Through October

{Biver Farms – one of the local purveyors at the BJC/WU farmer’s market}

I only noticed this for the first time last week when arriving home early via Metrolink, but there’s a farmer’s market at the Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University Medical Center campus. The market takes place just outside the Barnes & Noble Bookstore and adjacent to the new BioMed21 building.

Unfortunately it’s only present on Thursdays from 11:30am-4:30pm. I wish it were still open at 5:30pm when myself and others who live in the Central West End and Forest Park Southeast are returning home. Originally the final market day was set for September 10, but it was open and busy this week. It is now scheduled to run into October. There are roughly a half-dozen booths including Double Star Farms, Baalman’s Produce and Biver Farms. If you’re able to get by the market when they’re open it’s a great resource.
