AHM Plans Rehabs and New Builds in Downtown West

AHM of MoFo, WYOMO, and The 22 fame, plans to redevelop 3.13 acres in Downtown West north of the Schlafly Tap Room. AHM plans to rehab four existing buildings on the 2100 block of Locust, and build three new mixed-use ones on the surface parking lots. This could mean a few hundred dwellings.

The LCRA Board will consider blighting the area at its June 28th meeting. LCRA staff are recommending up to a 90% 10-year property tax abatement. With increased scrutiny of tax incentives since the indictments of two aldermen and the board president, it’s likely abatements will be discussed at length.
