The $30 million second phase of the North Sarah development (Phase I is profiled on this blog here) is well underway. Three new mixed use structures have popped up on the west side of North Vandeventer.
Below is a photograph taken earlier this week looking north on Vandeventer at West Belle Place.

All told, North Sarah Phase II will contain 103 mixed-income rental housing units geared towards families and 6,400 square feet of retail/commercial space. This is in addition to Phase I’s 120 units and 12,000 square feet of commercial space. A new commercial building is also under construction on North Sarah itself as a part of Phase II. This will be the first part of the development where two new mixed use structures face one another, fully re-urbanizing what was once “urban prairie”.
