Pete Saunders


Detroit-born and raised, Hoosier-trained and Chicago-polished, Pete has been a planner for more than 20 years now, based in Chicago. He's had the opportunity to work in the private, public and nonprofit sectors. Currently working as a planning consultant, Pete earned a bachelors in urban planning from Indiana University-Bloomington, and a masters in urban planning and policy from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Since starting his blog, The Corner Side Yard, in February 2012, Pete's writing has been featured by the Urbanophile, Planetizen, Rust Wire, New Geography and Atlantic Cities. He is also a regular contributor to Business Insider.
