The Rockwell Beer Company website has been up for some time, promising that a new brewery was coming to Vandeventer in The Grove. Now it appears official. Rockwell Beer Company shared the news this morning in the press release below.
The address is 1320 S. Vandevanter, one of the unremarkable buildings along this street in the city. It is currently occupied by Dinzler Equipment. Rockwell will transform the space into a 15-barrel brewery, 1,500sf tasting room, and outdoor patio. V Three Studios has been selected to design the transformation.

Rockwell Beer Co. Acquires Property for Future Brewery, Announces Club Rockwell
St. Louis, MO – Rockwell Beer Company announced Tuesday, September 27, its intention to lease property at 1320 S. Vandeventer in the City of St. Louis. Pending finalization and approval of its private and public financing package, Rockwell is planning to open a 15-barrel brew house and production facility in the Spring of 2017, and has tapped V Three Studios as the project architect. The facility, currently occupied by Dinzler Equipment, will also include a 1,500-square-foot tasting room, a spacious outdoor patio, and a retail store that will sell Rockwell merchandise and packaged beer to go in various formats.
“We couldn’t be more excited to announce our intention to move forward with this as the permanent location for Rockwell”, says Andy Hille, Rockwell Beer Company’s founder and managing member. “It’s taken a lot of hard work and planning to get to this point, but we’re very enthusiastic for the opportunities that this spot provides us. We have the ability to repurpose an existing building, tell its unique history, and add our own distinctive twist for a one-of-a-kind experience for every person who comes to visit us.”
Along with 12,000 square feet of space in the building, the property features a large on-site parking lot, and plans to improve both pedestrian and cycling access. “Mr Dinzler has kept the building in great shape and we are ready to get in there and add our own distinctive touch. The structure and condition of the building provide a blank canvas for us to do some really exciting things that St. Louis has never seen before. We have plenty of space on the property, which gives us unlimited potential.”
The project will be financed by the Bank of Franklin County. Assistance with the project has come from Park Central Development, Alderman Joe Roddy, Missouri Department of Economic Development, St. Louis Economic Development Partnership, with business incentives advisory provided by Duff & Phelps.
Rockwell Beer Company also announced the debut of Club Rockwell, a nano-tasting room experience coming to the TechArtista Coworking Center in the Central West End. Club Rockwell will open every Wednesday night and allow attendees to sample RBC beers, along with some surprises, in an incredibly unique atmosphere. The first event at Club Rockwell is planned for October 5, 2016 and tickets will go on-sale the morning of Thursday, September 29th at 10am.
