Morgan Ford Project Transforming a Corner of South City (3128 Morgan Ford)

The rehab project underway at a mixed use corner building at 3128 Morgan Ford in the Tower Grove South neighborhood is quickly transforming a once quiet corner.

This blurry Google Streetview capture shows the building’s previous state, with a remuddled storefront that does not match the vintage look and feel of its host building.

The picture below shows the progress made already.

Gone is the mucked-up storefront and now visible is an old “Hyde Park Beer” painted sign, hinting at the structure’s past as a neighborhood tavern.

Further, the portion of the building facing Hartford is getting a total makeover, with dormers added to a new sloped roof line.

One of the workers on the site (the man visible in bright clothing in the picture) informed STLNABEDEV that at least part of the space being prepared is for a “construction company’s offices”.
