Tour de Grove to Bring Professional Cycling to St. Louis

Missouri has a surprising strong cycling history. Track National Championships have been contested here, the city was the scene of the somewhat forgetable movie American Flyers, the Gateway Cup races Labor Day weekend attract big crowds and of course the Tour of Missouri has now rolled through town three times, bringing the world's best to our streets. For some amazing video click here.

One more big event is now on the way. The Tour of Winghaven, as it has been known is on its way to The Grove. In case you're scratching your head about why a professional bike race was in Winghaven, well, you're not alone. It can be difficult to find a location that allows a promoted to close streets and access parking. But crowds were sparse and the riders didn't fall in love with the setting either.
