Second Round of Fire Hydrant Painting Brings Subdued Design to Neighborhood Streets

The first round of fire hydrant painting in Forest Park Southeast focused on Manchester Avenue and further branding The Grove. Now the effort is moving onto the north-south residential streets and a new, subdued design is being offered. I would have liked to see something that played off the colors of the hydrants already painted. Why not paint them a matching yellow with the new pattern? I’m nitpicking, but why the schizophrenic hydrants? New paint scheme rendering is courtesy of the Washington University Medical Center Redevelopment Corporation (WUMCRC).
