With transit agencies across the United States and elsewhere raising fares as a result of budget shortfalls, it’s time to ask what a fair fare is for subways and trains. In St. Louis a single ride Metrolink ticket is now $2.25. Now of course I believe that mass transit should be free to all, but is $2.25 too much, too little or just reasonable?
