Quick Visual: North St. Louis is not the destruction of the Mill Creek Valley Part II

{the Mill Creek Valley being clearcut}

In light of the proposed NorthSide project by Paul McKee, more than a couple people have said to me that McKee is bringing destruction to the City much like what was perpetrated beginning in 1959 when the Mill Creek Valley (MCV) was bulldozed. Not all of the MCV was beautifully historic and not all of North St. Louis is as shown in the image below, yet there’s simply no comparison. The dense MCV was torn down, today more than 1,500 vacant lots in North St. Louis are proposed to be rebuilt.
