Jackson Hotaling is a resident of Columbia, MO and grew up in Webster Groves, MO. He earned a BA in history and geography at Ohio Wesleyan University and MPA at Zhejiang Normal University before COVID-19 brought him back to Missouri from his temporary homes in mainland China and Peru. He is the Community Engagement Coordinator with Missourians for Responsible Transportation, and serves as a city-appointed Commissioner for the Columbia, MO Bicycle and Pedestrian Commission. He proudly lives without a car, and believes in the vision that communities are stronger through walking, biking, and public transit options as well as a focus on equitable development.
