Union At The Grove to Break Ground

Union At The Grove to Break Ground
Looking south

Construction is slated to start February 1st on Green Street’s Union At The Grove development in Forest Park Southeast south of Manchester is set to break ground. The development is over 160 new units with more than half of which will be workforce-targeted rents. The total development cost is approximately $40 million. It consists of six buildings on Hunt, Vista, and Norfolk between Newstead and Taylor. The architect is JEMA. Building permits were applied for in December.

Ashe 4453 Vista 18 units

Amenities include private entrances, courtyards and walking paths; shared rooftop terraces, balconies, and
barbecue areas; and bike storage, mail, and secure package areas.

It has been developed with support from a consortium that includes Greater St. Louis, Inc., IFF, and Washington University Medical Center Redevelopment Corp. (WUMCRC).

The development received a 10 year tax abatement. The Newstead West CID will then in effect redirect the property taxes to pay for resurfacing streets and alleys,
rebuilding sidewalks and curbs, installing new streetlights, and helping heal the City’s street grid by reopening the cul-de-sacs on Vista and Norfolk at Taylor! #HealTheGrid
