A single family home located at 7716 Vermont in the Patch (South Carondelet) neighborhood has been rehabbed by owner Sam and Sons, LLC at a cost of $200,000.

    I don’t know anything about rehabbing homes. Why would someone spend $200K to rehab a home which they are now selling for $135K?

      Permit estimate recorded by the city is $200K – guessing it doesn’t reflect what was actually spent. With historic tax credits of maybe 40% of renovation costs, one could purchase the home for next to nothing, spend $150K on renovations, get tax credits of $60K and sell at $135K. Someone else may be able to offer more accurate numbers.
