Former Bank on South Grand to Become a Restaurant? (3150 S. Grand)

A vacant mid-century bank building located at 3150 S. Grand in the Tower Grove East neighborhood may soon be transformed into a restaurant. A $1.2 million building permit application is on file with the City (but has not yet been issued). The contractor is Musick Construction Co. Commerce Bank is still shown as the owner of the property.

This site has been rumored as the next big David Bailey restaurant (of Range, Rooster, and Chocolate Bar fame). But when Bailey announced his next restaurant would be a vegetarian-focused venture named Small Batch and would be located in Midtown, talk of this South Grand site died down. Did someone else scoop up this site? Or is Bailey still making a go of it here? Anyone with details, please email [email protected]!

Below is a Geo St. Louis photograph of the building:
