Vacant houses in Lafayette Square are somewhat rare, but the 2300 block of Hickory, just east of Jefferson, has a handful.
The structure at 2346 Hickory is one of two rehabs presently underway on this block (the other is 2355 Hickory).
The $60,000 permit will see the conversion of 2346 Hickory into a single family from a two-family. Its neighbor to the west remains vacant and boarded.
